Georges Perec

January 4, 2007

OuLiPo grandaddy and one of the most important French writers ever.  Surely one of, if not the most experimental.  Georges Perec wrote A Void – the book written without the letter E – in which Anton Vowl (get it: A. Vowl) is missing.  What’s amazing is it was translated from French to English, still without a single E.  His shorter writings are more enjoyable to read, but all respect due.
