DJ Screw

DJ Screw was a DJ from Houston who screwed hip-hop tracks by slowing them down.  This enhanced or replicated the effect of all the yummy codeine-laced cough syrup Screw and his Screwed Up Click drank.  I still often hear cars playing chopped and screwed tracks.  It’s innovative but gives me vertigo.  Screw died of heart failure.
